Arts & History

After purchasing a stately colonial-style home in a leafy downtown neighbourhood, our clients, a creative couple with children, asked for a layer-by-layer approach to make the home start to feel like theirs. Phase one was a light renovation of the kitchen. The cabinets were in good shape, so we painted them a soft sage green, added a new backsplash, and finished it off with elevated hardware and lighting. Deep yellow hues on the living room wainscotting acted as the perfect accent to their art and the hallway was the perfect showcase for wallpaper by a Canadian designer depicting historic Maritime home silhouettes.
