Contemporary Coastal
The initial brief was simple: Freshen up an oceanfront vacation home for out-of-province owners with ties to Nova Scotia. Soon, it became clear that this family needed a bigger and more lasting place to gather. We decided to start from scratch and, working with Blueprint Construction, created a summer (and year-round) home more connected to its coastal surroundings. The new cottage is modern and fresh, and consists of three dwellings (living/entertaining, primary suite, and children/guests) connected by a screened-in breezeway — all the better to take advantage of the natural gardens and waterfront.
